Testimonials - Management...
"Aysha is one of the most encouraging and supportive managers I have worked with. She is always willing to help and offer her eclectic range of expertise, despite having a busy workload of her own. Aysha excels in a managerial position and I feel fortunate to have worked with her."
Lauran Elsden, Editor, Nursing and Residential Care
"Aysha is a smart, enthusiastic, proactive, and meticulous editor. She has an engaging style of writing and an excellent grasp over a wide range of topics. She has superb people skills, and worked hard to build and maintain relations with colleagues as well as the authors and editorial board of the journal on which she worked (i.e. British Journal of Nursing). In the brief time that she was my line manager, she shared her editorial knowledge and tips with me, even giving me a lesson on headline writing in 10 minutes (which I will never forget!). She was approachable, friendly, and always willing to make the time for my queries, and her advice and suggestions were well thought through. She always encouraged growth, giving me feedback during our monthly catch-ups, and supported my vision for the journal on which I worked."
Jolene Menezes, Editor, Gastrointestinal Nursing
"Working with Aysha has been a pleasure. As a manager, she is very approachable, encouraging and gives thoughtful, considered feedback. Aysha and I have monthly catch ups which I have found to be extremely helpful as she will always go through the current issue of the journal and point out positive aspects and areas which can be improved. I have found this to be very motivating and it has also helped my development. When asking for advice, Aysha will consider all the angles and give a balanced answer to help find a solution to my dilemma. While we have only worked together for a few months, Aysha's help has been invaluable and definitely made a positive impact on my work and working practices."
Gemma Hummerston, Editor, British Journal of Cardiac Nursing
"I first met Aysha when she took over as Editorial Manager on two of the journals I work on, the British Journal of Cardiac Nursing and Gastrointestinal Nursing Journal. Aysha was instrumental in re-structuring the British Journal of Cardiac Nursing and ensuring we produced the best possible clinical content. She assisted me for a period of around 4 months in changing the features lists and implementing the new structure, as well as helping with Maternity Cover. Aysha manages around 6 titles within the BJN Portfolio, as well as her own Editorial responsibilities on BJN. She meets with her staff every month and helps them to improve, issue by issue and is a great mentor not only to her Editorial Staff, but to the Commercial Managers that work on those journals. A quick problem solver with a great passion of Publishing and Journalism, I would highly recommend Aysha."
